Went off to work this morning in the brisk air (-21c) and very few kids had come back after the holidays so was sent home for another couple of days off. Too bad

A wedding and a walk - went for a walk to the shops, very fresh out at -18c and,
an equestrian flavoured wedding at my sisters house in Cromwell, Central Otago, New Zealand. Her garden has been dubbed Grimmer park in honour of my sisters very enthusiastic gardening apprentice, Mr Warwick Grimmer.

I have just read few snippets about the benefits of drinking beer but this is the best -

And saving the best for last, as explained by Cliff Clavin, of Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm.
Here's how it went:

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

My goodness, this Crafar Dairy Farms has stirred up a lot of feeling here.

My wife is not keen to go to New Zealand now.

I did not think of New Zealand as being racist but things must have changed since I left and of course the Germans, Americans, and others buying several farms without a murmur only brings it home more.

A bit sad.

My new camera - phone and computer come free - hope the rumour is correct

Samsung Galaxy SIII expected at Mobile World Congress with Quad Core Processor
from Daily Mobile by MASMedia
News from DailyMobile.se:

As initially reported by Eldar Murtazin, the Samsung Galaxy SIII is expected to debut at next month’s MWC in Barcelona.

As with all rumours, this should be taken with a grain of salt. Besides the rumoured Quad core processor running at 1.5-1.6 GHz, other specs supposedly include an HD resolution screen (probably bigger than current model), a 12 megapixel camera and will most likely run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. If true, this will make it a beast of a smartphone.
